Small Parcel & Envelope Service
SHIPMENT ACCEPTANCE - You can drop off your small parcel or envelope with our Customer Service Representatives at any location within our Flex Flights network or stop by at one of our airport locations in Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Pickle Lake. Please ensure you have government issued photo ID on hand. We will accept small parcel or envelope shipment at least 1 hour prior to departure. If it's Dangerous Goods, the processing and documentation will require at least 2 hours prior to departure.
SHIPMENT TYPES - At North Star Air we may inquire about the contents of the shipment as a safety measure for our passengers. We ask all shipping agents to identify any Dangerous Goods contents for processing and documentation. If your shipment is valuable, you may exercise a declaration of value on our air waybills for processing. All shipments are subject to space availability on each flight. RATES - Envelopes weighing less than 5lbs can be shipped at a flat rate of $10.00 (HST included). Small parcels that weigh up to 16lbs will be charged at a flat rate of $20.00 (HST included). If an envelope or small package exceeds 16lbs, applicable shipping rates will apply.
PREPAID ENVELOPE STICKERS - You may also purchase rolls of pre-paid envelope stickers for shipment. These stickers may be used system wide for envelopes weighing less than 10lbs. The envelope must be delivered to North Star Air with sticker attached and all pertinent information recorded on the sticker such as receiver name, phone number and destination.
FORMS OF PAYMENT - All shipments are prepaid unless you have a corporate account or purchased a prepaid shipping option. We accept cash, Interac E-transfer, most major credit cards, debit cards at some stations, and prepaid credit cards.
ARRIVAL & PICKUP - Please check with your local North Star Air Customer Service Representative for flight arrival time and/or inquire if your shipment has arrived. You will need to show a government issued photo ID when picking up your envelope or package.
