Located in northern Manitoba, Sayisi Dene First Nation—commonly known as Tadoule Lake—is one of the most northern communities in the province, situated near the Manitoba–Nunavut border approximately 1,000 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
With a population of roughly 300 residents, Sayisi Dene First Nation is a Dene community and a member of Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO), which represents northern First Nations across Manitoba. The community is located within the subarctic transition zone into Canada's Barren Lands, and maintains deep cultural and historical ties to traditional Dene territory.
