Northern Agent Contractor/North Caribou Lake First Nation - 1 Position Available

 

The Northern Agent Contractor is responsible for carrying out daily office duties at their local airport. The Northern Agent Contractor is responsible for checking passengers in for the flight, writing up airway bills for cargo shipments and writing up the manifests accurately for each flight leaving the airport. The Northern Agent Contractor is also responsible in ensuring that all office checklists and/or forms are completed each day as well as making sure all Daily Sales Reports are completed each day and monies are being deposited daily and Daily Sales Reports are sent to YQT accounting daily.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Check in passengers for each flight • Accept cargo shipments and write up airway bills • Release freight to customers; ensure customers sign for the freight • Write up manifest; ensure it is accurate • Write up Daily Sales Reports at the end of each day and make sure it is sent to YQT accounting in a timely matter • Assist YQT Accounting in locating misplaced/missing Daily Sales Reports or any accounting paperwork • Assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner • Ensure that the office supplies are in stock and when getting low, submit an order on the weekly supply request form to YQT. • Ensure that office equipment is in proper working condition i.e. computers, fax machines, debit machines, radios etc… • Adheres to and operates within safety policies, procedures and practices, attend requisite safety training • Provide courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage and airfreight • Assist with Flight Crew in loading or off-loading baggage and freight • Provide positive teamwork and ongoing support to the overall station, working closely with and having constant communications with SOCC, Flight Crew personnel, and airport staff • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager. 

Education & Experience

  • Working knowledge with office equipment i.e. fax machines, debit machines, computers etc. is required • Basic understanding of mathematics • Excellent communication skills are necessary • Exercise initiative, responsibility and flexibility, with demonstrated interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and co-workers • Time management skills • Customer Service experience • Problem solving skills • Proactive, self-motivated and work well with others
